Apparently we didn't get a picture of John at Ten Foot Falls this trip. |

Beau had a good line - as usual. |

Most people wouldn't recommend that you run this one backwards. It
worked fine for me. |

This was taken right before I flipped over. I
don't know if I was completely upside down before I rolled, but it was
close. I'm just lucky they didn't get any photos of me under water. |

The Boof Move
(I don't know the real name) |

You're not supposed to hit the boof sideways.
 |

No boof for Beau. |

Not for me either. |

Rock Slide |
|
Shortly after Razorback, and at John's normal take-out,
there is an amazing slab of granite stretching down into the river.
It has to be at least 100 feet long with a variable slope to it. We
started somewhere in the middle of the rock, at one of the mellower
slopes. Then, worked our way up to starting at the highest spot,
with the most slope. This was a great way to cap off a great day!
It felt like we were flying down that rock. Make sure you have your
noseplugs on before you reach the bottom! Also, if you hit it
straight, there's a good possibility that you can hit the water and bounce
up - almost vertically. If you hit it sideways, you're in for the
possibility of some airtime, and some sore muscles in the morning.
I'm sure we left red, blue, and yellow streaks down the rock! We'll
have to try it again sometime when we have a video camera with us. |

It was so steep, that in order to get in, we had to
have someone hold our boats in place. If not, you might be in for a
premature launch - as Kevin accidentally found out once. |

Kevin and I decided to try a tandem slide - after
almost running into each other on the way down, the result was a massive
splash. Click the picture above, look closely and you can see
Kevin's blue helmet and a paddle blade on the left, and the bow of my boat
- way in the air - on the right. |
