These pictures were taken when the river had already crested
and was falling. The level about this time was 45,000. It crested at
63,000 a few hours earlier.
We'll start with my favorites...
The put-in stairs, underwater.
The first railroad bridge, there's normally at least 10
feet of clearance above the river.
A massive hole at what might normally be "On the Rocks".
And now the rest...
All pics above are of the Gorge Putin area
The Railroad bridge above "Last Chance"
Even
the ducks know to stay out of the water when it's this high.
Pictures of the river
A monstrous hole at what I'm guessing to be On The
Rocks
Quarter Mile?
More Pictures and
randomness...
Just a few of the feeder creeks dumping in
Gear
of some sort across the river.
Kristin taking a shortcut through the train
Brown tree
Dead
possum on the tracks

Anyone missing a paddle? I don't think you want this one back.
